About Auction Proposals

When contact is made with an Auctioneer on having an auction, it is wise to ask for a written proposal. It is also a good business practice to ask for references to be included in the proposal.

An Auction proposal should identify the property to be auctioned, include the auctioneer fee for holding the auction, recommend a time, date and place for the auction, give information about what to expect from the auction and a time period for settlement of the proceeds. The proposal should include the firm auction license number.
